Terms and Conditions

These term and conditions set out the terms and conditions under which the SmartKids offers “English as a Second Language” (ESL) courses.

Enrolment of Program
The SmartKids General Director will make the final decision on the placement of the child according to place availability and age. The child’s personality and ability is taken in consideration to place the child at his/her best suitable level and surrounding. This will be done in close counseling with the parents.

Fees
All fees are quoted in Vietnamese Dong (VND). Parents are responsible for timely payment of tuition fees before the child can attend. This responsibility cannot be delegated to a company.
Fees will be changed without notice if the inflation in Vietnam is over 10% on an annual basis.

Tuition Fee
Payments are to be paid in full per course (~16 weeks).
Fees are payable in advance by Cash or Bank transfer, with a payment term of 15 days upon receipt of the payment request. Late payments will result in exclusion of the child’s attendance. Your Childs Full name should be written on the transfer.  

Refunds and Credits – Course fees 
Self aclaimed holidays, sick days and any other days that the child is not attending classes, will not be refunded. SmartKids will give credits and refunds only under the following circumstances: 

• Serious illness lasting longer than 3 weeks.  We will require you to produce a medical certificate as evidence.
• Transfer to a new City; a 10-week notice period will apply; we will require a written notice.

Where classes are cancelled by SmartKids we will provide refunds except where classes are cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure). In these cases we will make every effort to provide alternative arrangements.

Credits and refunds are not given under any circumstances other than those mentioned above. All requests for refunds and transfers must be made in writing.  
Approved credits are valid for 6 months. Approved refunds will take a minimum of 2 weeks to process.

Company sponsorship (Red Invoice)
Companies who wish to sponsor children to study English with SmartKids will need to complete a sponsorship form.

Note: The Terms and Conditions are applicable for the total period of the child’s attendance at SmartKids and you will only be released from this when submitting a written disengagement/ termination letter.
